At Hosbo we are back from vacation with our batteries full and looking forward to September. This month, two of the most important events of the season await us, as far as fairs are concerned; we will be at Première Vision Paris from 19 to 21 September and at Lineapelle Milan from 25 to 27 September.

Two of the most important leather fairs in Europe

Both are two of the most important trade fairs at European level in the leather, accessories and components for footwear sector. At Hosbo, we have always had a close relationship with trade fairs. During the days when they take place, they are the showcase of many leather and fabric manufacturers like us. A great opportunity to showcase our work, in this case, our Autumn/Winter 2019-20 collection.

With these events we are able to become active precursors of fashion. From Hosbo we are able to set trends thanks to colors, textures and prints and be the inspiration for attendees. All of them artists, designers and manufacturers, who decide to bet on our brands and trust our skins to give life to their ideas and creations.

The success of the trade fairs is marked by the number of visitors to the stand, the information they want about our company and the first contact they make with us to establish possible business relationships. The future success will be determined by how many of these visitors become an active customer of our company and decide to rely on our skins.

Summer is a perfect season when we love to wear shoes. Ideally, we should wear good leather shoes that do not rub our feet. In summer the foot tends to widen and the only thing that is able to adapt to its shape is a good leather sandal, which guarantees comfort and convenience. Also, in summer, we are always prone to sweating much more and leather shoes have a better absorption.

In HOSBO, as leather producers and experts in the field, we want to give you a series of tips and a few tips, so that the summer shoes survive you for more than a season.

TIPS for the proper use of our sandals

Wear our favorite sandals? Yes, of course, but not for many days at a time and with rest intervals. It is important to let them rest so that the skin of the shoe can return to its shape. This way, the skin will last much longer in perfect condition.

What do we do if our sandals get wet? In summer it is much more common for our feet to sweat and end up wetting the shoe. In these cases, dry the sandal gently and then use a wooden or paper last to absorb moisture from inside in a gentle and non-aggressive way. We should avoid using direct heat, such as a hair dryer, as it may be counterproductive and may harden the skin.

And lastly, the during is as important as the post use. The most advisable would be to keep our sandals with your last and inside a cotton bag. Also, if the shoe in question has a decorative element, or fits snugly around the ankle, even more care should be taken not to lose its shape.

During the month of July, at Hosbo we practiced our English. Lineapelle London and Lineapelle New York, respectively, were the first destinations of our 2018 summer trade fair season. As you know, it’s been our first year in London. A small fair, in a very picturesque hotel with a privileged location, was the showcase for the new Autumn/Winter 2019-20 leather collection. In the Anglo-Saxon capital, we show two of the most outstanding new products of this season.

On the one hand, the image of our new catalogue. A powerful image in vibrant and striking purple tones, very much in tune with what our new collection symbolizes. Another novelty presented at Lineapelle London and NY was our new leather proposal, “PURE”. A natural-looking leather, soft to the touch and with a range of colours in total harmony with our new proposals. A novelty that we are very much looking forward to showing you and above all, we hope you like it as much as we do.

In both fairs, both in New York and London, we have had a very good reception among the attendees. These events are always an ideal source of learning, not only to interact with potential clients, but also to be in an artistic and fashionable environment.
